Therapy Sessions
Individual 
Therapy

Individual therapy sessions are designed to allow the individual to explore their feelings, beliefs and behaviors. It provides space to identify aspects of their life that they would like to change, better understand themselves, set personal goals, and work towards desired change.

Family 
Therapy

Family therapy sessions are designed to reduce stress and conflict through the improvement of interactions between family members.

Group 
Therapy

Group therapy sessions are designed to promote socialization and communication. It also allows the participants to develop a sense of belonging while learning from others that are sharing a similar experience. 

One-Time 
Consultations

One-time consultations are designed for families who would like tools to help their child(ren) without committing to weekly sessions. During the one-time consultation, the therapist will walk you through specific strategies needed for your child(ren).

Consultations are $130 and self-pay only.

Our Approach

At Peterson Child & Family Counseling we focus on using an Integrative Approach. Every individual is different, so we strive to blend elements from different approaches and tailor the treatment according to each individual's needs.

Angela Peterson
MA, LPC

Angela was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2011. In 2016, Angela graduated from West Texas A&M University with a M.A. in Psychology. Over the past 6 years, Angela has worked with hundreds of children, teens, and adults.
