One-on-One Therapy

The goal of therapy may be vary from client to client, but one can typically expect the following:

Child Counseling: The goal of therapy is to work with both the parent and the child to better help the child identify and express their emotions, gain and maintain positive peer relationships and reduce negative/disruptive behaviors. The therapist will spend time teaching both the child and the parent strategies used in session. This structure is used to help boost the parent-child relationship and ensure that the parent feels empowered to use the tools independently and beyond the child's termination. Designed for ages 3-12.

Adolescent Counseling: The goal of therapy is to build a mutual and trusting relationship, to help guide the client through struggles that are typically connected to this population such as anxiety, depression, peer struggles, traumatic experiences and major life changes. The client can expect to gain confidence in their ability to problem solve and cope with their experiences as they come. Designed for ages 13-19.

Adult Counseling: The goal of therapy is to work with the client to establish a relationship of trust and respect that also meets the client exactly where they are. The therapist will work with the client to identify tools and techniques that can better lead to growth and a more balanced and fulfilling life. Designed for ages 20-25.
